Return of the Frozen Librarian

Don't call it a comeback - I've been here for years.

Just over eleven years, to be specific.

I'm a bit less frozen these days, partially because I've acclimated to this USDA Plant Hardiness Zone (4, in case you're wondering), and partially because it doesn't seem quite as frozen as it used to be. I didn't even turn my heat on until mid-October this fall, and I still haven't put plastic on the windows. When I launched this blog, it was a snowy day in April.

Some things have changed, some haven't.

My name is still Angela, and I'll still be writing about librarianship in northern New York, but a lot has changed during the seven years this blog has been dormant. My job itself has changed. (We'll get to that later.) Libraries have seen staff turnover, building projects, new partnership opportunities, criticism, challenges, better energy efficiency, funding cuts, funding improvements, and a global pandemic. And by the way, libraries are still reckoning with that last one.

More soon. Still finding my way.
